Harmonix v. Activision, Dropped - Activision Wants To Settle Out Of Court

In a recent (short lived) lawsuit Harmonix claimed that Activison had not paid them the full royalties that they were owed from Guitar Hero 3’s profits.  The unpaid portion of the royalties that Harmonix asked for came to $14.5 million.

Shortly after the lawsuit was filed Activision backed down and stated that they want to settle out of court.  Harmonix has withdrawn the lawsuit in preparation for settlement talks.  No word on when an agreement will be reached, or how much it will cost Activision.

In an unrelated story there is still no word on when I will be getting my replacement Guitar Hero 3 disc back from Activision.  Perhaps a brief lawsuit will help get things moving….
