If you found the game ending glitch in the Wii version of Tomb Raider Underworld and didn’t like Eidos’ official way to solve the problem there is some good news. The QA at Crystal Dynamics has found out the cause of the bug and how to avoid it.
The bug
When first starting the level , if the user is swimming around underwater, moves into the flush tunnel area near to the closed underwater door, (which loads up maproom as the next unit), moves back out of the flush tunnel, and moves through the level normally, when they get into maproom the H-pole that is used to raise the door to complete the level is missing.
To avoid the bug
When starting Level 2 underwater, DON’T swim into the passageway against the cliffs to the right. If the player moves to the ledge that leads up the cliffs and plays through the level, the pole at the end of the level will always be there.
