According to NPD data Sega’s M-rated titles on the Wii have not exactly been flying off the shelf. In a statement to Gamasutra NPD revealed that House of the Dead: Overkill sold 45,000 units during it’s debut month in the U.S., while Madworld did only marginally better at 66,000 units. As weak as those numbers seem Sega doesn’t seem to be all that worried.
“House of the Dead has done very well and has absolutely met our expectations. The first set of data for Madworld is very encouraging, as well.” – Sean Ratcliffe, Sega of America marketing exec.
