Discovery Communications is partnering with game publisher Crave to turn two of its top-rated series, “Man vs. Wild” and “Deadliest Catch,” into video games.
The action-oriented titles will be created for PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. “Wild” also will appear on Xbox 360.
“We feel ‘Man vs. Wild’ and ‘Deadliest Catch’ are a great fit for the video game space,” said Sue Perez-Jackson, director of licensing at Discovery Channel. “They’ll mirror a lot of what happens on the show.”
If the Man vs. Wild game doesn’t let you drink your own pee then it will be an epic fail. On the other hand if it stays true to the show and you can drink your own pee… Well, that’s game of the year material.
