Since 1992 Capcom’s top selling title has been the original Street Fighter 2 on the SNES which stands at 6.3 million units sold Worldwide. Capcom last updated their Platinum Titles list back in July and since then Resident Evil 5 has picked up another 200k in sales, this puts it at just over 1 million behind SF 2. It might be a stretch to think that RE 5 has the legs to knock off SF 2 but it certainly has come closer than anything else has.
