Pachter: Take-Two’s development organization lacks discipline

“[With an average development time of two or three years for AAA titles, dev cycles are unacceptably long] For example, this year’s lineup contains sequels to Max Payne 2 (last released in December 2003), Mafia (last released in March 2004) and Red Dead Revolver (last released in May 2004)… [this long of a dev cycle] suggests a lack of discipline within Take-Two’s development organization.” – Michael Pachter, Wedbush analyst

It’s hard to argue with that.  When Max Payne 3 was announce earlier this year it had been so long since the second one I figured that Take-Two had dropped the IP.
