Most Recognizable Video Game Character: Mario? Sonic? Mega Man? Nope, it’s Namco’s very own Pac-Man. 94 percent of American consumers recognize the pellet-gobbler, edging out Nintendo’s plumber by just one percent.
It’s pretty amazing to think that out of all the video game characters around today the ones people know the most are the old school guys. Today’s characters are leaps and bounds ahead of the old ones in terms of story and depth but somehow the old guys are still the ones that the masses know and love.
