Who knew there was a Annual Report Award?
Capcom Co., Ltd. is proud to announce that our Annual Report 2009 was the recipient of the esteemed Award for Excellence in the 12th Nikkei Annual Report Awards sponsored by the Nihon Keizai Shimbun.
This annual report competition has been held every year since 1998, presenting the most prestigious awards for annual reports of Japanese companies. More than 79 companies submit their annual reports for consideration by a panel of judges made up of fund managers and securities analysts. Reports are evaluated based on 10 qualitative and quantitative items, ensuring that scores are determined with strict fairness and accuracy.
The award-winning Capcom Annual Report 2009 includes a question-and-answer section in which the chairman explains specific actions to achieve long-term strategic objectives. The report also provides our strategy for growth in terms of strengthening development capabilities, promoting “single content multiple usage” approach for games and expanding overseas market development. Furthermore, the leaflet, ‘The Latest Development Report’ includes interviews with game developers and other that gives explanations of the process of development
Capcom believes that these elements were responsible for its increase from last year’s place ranking to this years place in fiscal 2009.
To maintain a high degree of transparency for its operations, Capcom remains dedicated to conducting investor relations activities based on three fundamental themes: establishing a responsible IR framework, further upgrading the disclosure of information, and ensuring the timely and proper disclosure of information.
