Call of Duty Vietnam is still just a rumor itself but there are now a few rumors floating around about it.
- COD Vietnam will use technologies and ideas found in the Modern Warfare series
- Heavy focus on story and struggles of each person in your squad
- Borrows from direction and pacing of movies like Platoon, Apocalypse Now and the great Full Metal Jacket
I sure hope that this game is the real deal. Vietnam is way underrepresented in video games and just thinking about some Gunny Hathcock style sniper missions in the Vietnam jungle has already got my trigger finger itching.
FMJ is one of my favorite movies (thanks to Gunny Ermey, pictured above, who you can also see in my favorite History Channel show Lock N’ Load but I digress) and any game that borrows from it can’t be all that bad.
