As telling as this data is, it does not even begin to tell the whole story. Not only are Sony and Microsoft pulling in less revenue than Nintendo, their operating costs end up eating up that revenue and usually result in a net loss for the division. Between the two this is a much bigger problem for Sony who also has to deal with a stronger Japanese yen multiplying their losses.
