The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Sony has trimmed their losses for each PlayStation 3 sold from$37 down to $18. In the report the company states that they will finally start to make a small profit on each console sold by 2011.
What isn’t clear is if factors in any further price reductions by the company or if Sony plans to stick with their current price point throughout 2010.
