Best of Gamer Investments: 07/12/08 - 07/18/08 - E3 2008 Wrap-Up

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

Well Investors E3 2008 is all wrapped up and thank God for that.  This was my first time covering E3 here at Gamer Investments and let me tell you it was no easy task.  The wall of trailers, screenshots, and press releases started out strong on Monday and finally let up yesterday.  Thank you to everyone who stopped by the site to check out the news or watch the live stream of the conferences (thank you www.Gamertagradio.com ).  If you missed any of the live feeds of the conferences you can watch them at these links; Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony.  In addition you can check out all of Gamer Investments’ E3 coverage by clicking on the E3 2008 category on the sidebar.

There were a few non-E3 stories that happened over the last week that you may have missed.  Microsoft’s Q4 earnings report (weaker than expected, and the entertainment division lost money for the quarter… booo), and Nintendo’s Wii took the lead in the console sales war according to the latest NPD dataSony also had a strong showing in June’s sales data thanks to Metal Gear Solid 4.

Around here at Gamer Investments we are getting ready to celebrate my daughter Claire’s 4th birthday.  After about a month or more of searching my wife and I finally tracked down a copy of Mario Kart Wii for her (just one of several gifts) so I am sure she will be having a fantastic time over the next couple of days.

Thanks again Investors for stopping by over this last week.  I really do appreciate it.
