SQUARE ENIX DESTROYS THE LINE BETWEEN SINGLE PLAYER AND MULTIPLAYER GAMEPLAY
London (17 January 2011) – Square Enix Ltd., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in Europe and other PAL territories, this week unleashes MINDJACK, an innovative action (online) shooter that blurs the line between traditional single- and multiplayer gameplay by thrusting real-world players into the roles of in-game enemies, allies and cybernetic creatures at any time.
Last podcast I said Mindjack was similar to Giest, without the ghost aspects. Well, according to this trailer it’s exactly like Giest ghost aspects and all.
WHAT : MINDJACK release date set for Xbox 360 and PS3.
WHEN : January 21st 2011
Enter the futuristic world of MINDJACK on the Xbox360 and PS3 on the 21st January 2011 and experience mind bending action like you have never seen before.
Square Enix’s new near-future Third Person Action-Shooter offers a unique gameplay experience where players can hack into a host game as an ally or enemy and then hack into the mind of any soldier, civilian, mechanical bionic creature or weaponry.
A Square Enix rep has confirmed to Siliconera that Mindjack has been delayed from its October 2010 release to sometime in 2011. No official reason was given for the delay.
