Fourteen years ago, Square Enix released The World Ends With You, and the exciting urban fantasy-inspired RPG became an instant classic among fans of handheld games. At the time, it was revolutionary for the way players could use the touchscreen or microphone to perform certain combat elements. Now, on the fourteenth anniversary of its release, you can pick up NEO: The World Ends With You on July 27th, 2021.

Now, you can return to the bustling streets of Shibuya in this long-awaited follow-up. The game’s final trailer unveiled the comic-inspired city, filled with shops and restaurants, the familiar cast of characters, and the dangers that Rindo and the Wicked Twisters will encounter as they are forced to play the sinister Reaper’s Game — a life-or-death battle that he has been forced to take part in.

In the demo, players will experience the first two days of the Reapers’ Game, introducing players to Rindo, his friend Fret, and many other stylish and memorable characters. After that, players will be able to undertake missions, begin their collection of pins granting various Psychs, and get a taste of the game’s frenetic combat against the mysterious Noise, utilizing various flashy combat Psychs to suit their playstyle.

Clothes have power in NEO: The World Ends With You. Increase your HP (Health Points), ATK (Attack), and DEF (Defence) by wearing threads. Choose from five categories of fashion items (hardware, tops, bottoms, footwear, and accessories) to become stronger in battle. If you equip enough with Style, you’ll be able to activate and unleash the effects on your opponent.
